 Formerly it was a cave which served as a refuge against the pirate attacks. The Iacono family bought it along with the vineyard at the beginning of 1900.

Being a family of farmers, Mr. Ciro Iacono, after the 1930s, turned it into a winery expanding it and making it a functional structure for the production and storage of wine.
